Didn't know about the slalom' team' having different colours to others - was it discussed at a meeting? Not that there is a slalom ' team' as such in the club but more a group that trains together.

I would agree with Flo that slalomists can't really wear race vets because as she says they have to wear thier divisional race bib numbers over the top of their bouyancy aids.

However if there were stickers with the club logo on paddlers could if they wanted put them on their boats or paddles.

Well to be honest no one really likes green, especially since our colours are the oposite of Worcester. It is only a separation between marathon and slalom, like what burton has with the "Burton Ningas"
I thought we got the colours we have becasue there was no other option with out having to wait?? The race vests will not be a waste becasue slalom paddlers cant wear them because we have race bibs with numbers on.

I think it would be a shame if we ended up two sets of colours. Green and white was chosen to reflect the shed but only after long discussions within the club. At there time there was only one person in the club who didn't like the scheme but that's just because he doesn't like green. He went ahead and bought his race vest and raced in it too.

I think this is a really important discussion to have but think it might be better placed on the club's facebook page rather than here since I think more people will see it there and are more likely to comment. What do you think Florence? Can you set something up?

It puts the club 10th in the region - only 3 points behind the hasler finals cut off. We can make that up again.

Your marathon ranking is your marathon ranking whether you got it in k1 or k2.

The paddle section is only slightly longer the SHP hsler course so that shouldn't be any challenge for you - its just the 4km run but it'snot that far really! You know you want to do it!

A great weekend was had, non paddling photos on website www.clevercaptures.com

The Beavan family & Cameron Lambert in their first ever competition were impressive, Caroline on her final run only missing one gate- the one she intended to miss on purpose!

Full story & more photos to follow I hope soon
