Llangollen to Chirk Bank
Sunday 16th September
A great paddle for all abilities, this is a 10 mile trip through magnificent scenery which includes two aqueducts (the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is one of the wonders of the canal system) and two tunnels.
This has been seen the largest number of paddlers each year for the last 3 years.
If you want to come book a place as soon as possible, we may run out
We will meet at the Club House 07.30 am on Sunday 16 September to load boats, BA etc. onto the trailer. We will then travel to the Festival Car Park at Llangollen and aim to be paddling at 9.00
We will paddle as a group, stopping for breaks and lunch at Trevor Basin (before the aqueduct).
We will have cars at the end to ferry drivers back to their vehicles.
Remember to bring: change for the car park, torch for paddling the two tunnels, food, drink and suitable clothing
If you intend to join us please let us know by email as arrangements need to be made to transport boats, BA’s etc and please get in touch if you have any questions.
