Very many thanks to Clare Knight our Paddle to Nature co-ordinator & her colleagues for organising a bat and moth adventure last night with members of the club of all ages. Clare & her colleagues setup the moth traps at either end of the building and then we went for a walk along the tow path listening for the bats.
We found 6 types of bats on the path between the club house and first bridge. We came back to find the moth traps full of interesting creatures. Clare captured the moths and brought them back for identification and reporting to the local moth group for collation with the stats for the rest of the county.
