Shropshire Paddlesport Club Terms and Conditions
On joining this club, you agree to the following:
- I agree to act in accordance with the constitution and at all times in such a manner as to preserve the goodwill of others toward the sport of canoeing.
- I understand that “‘Canoeing, Kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboarding are ‘Assumed Risk’ ‘Water Contact Sports’”
- I take part in the Club’s activities at my own risk.
- I will contribute towards the organisation of, or activities of, the Club
- I consent to personal data as it pertains to membership and canoeing proficiency and qualifications being held on computer.
- I agree that any medical conditions or injuries must be declared to the coaches. By not letting the coaches know is putting other paddlers and yourself at risk.
- I have read the following policies and agree to observe them at all times:

- Safeguarding Policy (Adult) (Children)
- I consent to photographic images, and images of those on whose behalf I am signing this form, being used in proper bona fide club publicity and presentations as provided for in the above policies. If you wish to withdraw your consent, please email: chair@shropshirepaddlesport.org and then to the lead coach on trips or event organiser at club events. As our trips and events are often visible to the public we cannot guarantee that an image of you/person on your behalf will be captured.
- The Club is a Company Limited by Guarantee. Therefore, each member promises, that in the event of the Club being dissolved to contribute up to £1 towards payment of any debt or liability arising.
- I agree to the following fees
- Full Member (18 & Over): £60 ea
- Child of member (17 or younger): £5 ea
- Student in full time education (18-25): £25 ea
- £1.00 water fees per session on Saturday mornings.
- £3.00 fees for official club trips on rivers, lakes and the sea.
- Guests may try the facilities by arrangement for up to 6 sessions at £12.00 ea per session.
- Family/Friend of a member may use the facilities by arrangement at £6.00 ea per session when accompanied by the member.
- Pool sessions are £7.50 ea per session/Derwen Pool £5 ea.
- Boat hire for trips etc is £12 per day or part day.
- Boat storage at the club for £20 ea per annum (if space is available).
- The Membership year is 1st May to 30th April.
Canoeing, Kayaking and Stand Up Paddleboarding are “Assumed Risk” water contact sports.
